Ah, Resident Evil 4. The Playstation 2 and Gamecube versions blew everyone off their feet. Nintendo Power gave it the second best game of all time, which MUST mean its good. Now we have this game on our very own Nintendo Wii. Read on to see what I think of it.
Story- 8/10
Not a whole lot to this story. Leon is sent out to the home of vicious monster-like creature things to save the President's daughter. There are some twists and turns, and some creepy baddies arrive through the story to keep you on the edge of your seat. Around the end you get to finally stop the crazy monster thingy virus and find the REAL baddie
Gameplay- 9/10
The gameplay here is an improvement to the other RE4's, but only because of the amazing Wii control. It takes a few minutes to get used to these controls, but after you get used to 'em, be ready for some fast paced, edge-of-your seat aiming and gunning action through the big home of the Ganados. The game also terrifies you at times. Much scarier than PS2 and Gcube versions, since you are much more into the game. One thing: the village at dark. Keep your pants on, man.
Graphics- 10/10
Easily the best graphics to touch the Wii thus far. Beautiful graphics, hands down. Everything is so detailed, and the Ganados just look plain CREEPY. All the graphics are marvelous. Love games with killer graphics? Pick this up.
Sound- 10/10
The moaning noises from the Ganados, the gunshots from your powerful shotgun, all the sounds here are nice. The audio is crisp, clear, and is candy to your ears...love games with some sweet sounds? Again, pick this up.
Replay Value- 6/10
The second time you play through this game, it's not near as scary. You expect ever creepy part. You have an advantage because you know the strategies and puzzles to beating the enemies and everything. And, you can have like one-hit kill weapons at the beginning which isn't very hard.
Overall- 9/10
This game is as close to perfect as it gets. Great gameplay, sounds, graphics. The story and replay value bore you though. This game is definitely worth picking up, ESPECIALLY if you haven't played the Gcube or PS2 versions.
